Fanshang Restaurant

The Rippling Wave Chamber and the Studio of Peaceful Journey are two ancient structures on the northern waterfront of the Qionghua Isle of the Beihai Lake. Both were built in 1751, or the 16th year of the Qianlong Reign of the Qing Dynasty.

The Fangshang Restaurant is situated right here. Dishes in this restaurants, made according to recipes of the Qing imperial kitchen, are known for exquisite preparation, eye-pleasing color and a taste that ranges from delicate and sweet to crispy and tender. Traditional Chinese cuisine mingles perfectly with the art of garden construction in the Fangshan Restaurant.
