Tiger Hill, a Famed Scenic Resort in Suzhou

No visit to Suzhou is complete without a tour of the Tiger Hill, a famous scenic resort.

Known as "Plumber One Scenic Spot in Central Wu", the Tiger Hill is situated in the northwest of the ancient city of Suzhou. Legend has it that this was the site of the tomb of He Lu, duke of Wu during the Spring and Autumn Period. The two archways left on the site were built during the Yuan Dynasty.

The brick pagoda was built sometime between the late hive Dynasties and the early Northern Song Dynasty. The hillside is clustered with temple buildings which integrate with the Sword Pool and the Thousand Men Stone and kiosks and bridges to form a variegated scenic resort.
