Museum
Liaoning Museum in the Heping District, Shenyang, was built in 1931,
and was expanded in 1987. The 13-storied main building displays the
history of the Chinese history. Activities of various subjects and exhibitions
of different sectors are also held here. The museum has a rich collection
in 18 categories, including calligraphy and paintings, silk embroidery,
bronze and porcelain wares, archaeological records, ancient maps ancient
currencies, and stone tablets. On display in the Exhibition Hall of
the Chinese History are archaeological discoveries and traditional Chinese
arts and crafts, which are of high value for the study of the local
as well as the Chinese history.
Lushun Museum
Located at the Lushunkou District, Dalian, Lushun Museum is one of
the three largest history museums in Liaoning Province. The Lushun Museum
collects 30,000 relics, and consists of three exhibition halls: Relics
of the Past Dynasties, Dalian Local Relics, and Mummies from Xinjiang. |
