A. Tour Itinerary: Day 1 Arrive Beijing - Upon your arrival in Beijing, our guide will meet you at the airport. You will be transfered to the 5 star hotel for overnight. Day 2 Beijing (B, L, D) - Full day Beijing city tour, vist the TianAnmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven Day 3 Beijing/Hohhot (B,L,D) - Morning sightseeing begins with a visit to the giant pandas at the Beijing zoo. Proceed to the Summer Palace. Take an evening flight to Hohhot and transfer to your deluxe hotel. Day 4 Hohhot/Xilamoren (B,L,D) - Morning program features the Grave of Wang Zhaojun, favorite concubine of Emperor Yuan of the Western Han Dy- nasty, the Five-Pagoda Temple and the Minority Museum. Travel by coach to Xilamoren in the afternoon. Enjoy a music and dance performance in the evening. Stay overnight in a yurt. Day 5 Xilamoren(B,L,D) - Begin the day by touring the grassland and pastures. Visit herdsmen's homes. Watch or join the locals in horse and camel riding, wrestling and archery. Spend another night in a yurt. Day 6 Xilamoren /Hohhot (B,L,D) - Return to Hohhot by coach and transfer to your hotel. Excursions in the afternoon feature the Da Zhao and Xiao Zhao Temples. Dinner is served at a hotel. Day 7 Hohhot/Datong (B,L,D) - Explore Hohhot on your own. Take a train to Datong in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel. Day 8 Datong/Beijing (B,L,D) - Today's highlight is a visit to the Yungang Grottoet. Extending almost one mile from east to west, these fifty-three grottoes house some 51,000 buddhist statues. Visit the Hua Yan Monastery or the Nine-Dragon Wall if time permits. Take an overnight train to Beijing. Day 9 Beijing (B) - Arrive in Beijing in the early morning and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day, at leisure. You may go shopping or join our optional tours.
