As saying goes, "There is Paradise above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below." Suzhou, built 2,500 years ago, covers an area of 140.2 square kilometers with a population of 750,000.

Situated on the lakeside of Taihu, Suzhou has a mild climate and picturesque landscapes.

Suzhou is one of the ancient cultural cities and one of the four major tourist cities in China. Although experiencing many hardships, the city remains the original layout of the Song Dynasty. Buildings in the towns and villages on the outskirts are in the styles of the Ming and Qing times. The city enjoys a particular renown for her long history, brilliant culture, landscaped garden, and ancient architecture.

Special tourist items have been opened to attract visitors from home and abroad.
