Built in the Ming Dynasty, the garden covers one hectare in area. During their visit to south China, Emperor Kangxi and Qianlong stays here.

The Xiequ Garden of the Summer Palace in Beijing was built after the model of Jichangyuan, the best example of classical garden of southern China.
