Rising in Deqing County, Mogan Mountain is an offshoot of Tianmu Mountain. It is called a "world of coolness" and one of the "four famous summer resorts" in China. Tashan, the main peak, towers 720 meters. Mogan Mountain is famed for its bamboo, springs, and clouds known as the "three wonderfulnesses" and the freshness, greenery, coolness, and seclusion known as the "four excellences." As the "No. 1 mountain south of the Changjiang River," Mogan Mountain features Mogan Lake, Biwulong Pool, Tianquan Hill, Shimenka, Sword Pond, Luhua (Reed Catkin) Marsh, Wuling Village, and other scenic places.
