Jindian (Golden Temple) Park
The park, sprawling for more than 2,000 mu on the Mingfeng Mountain seven kilometres northeast of kunming, is a national forest and man-made gardens, it is also a large scenic resort in kunming. The '99 Intermational Hortitural Exposition will take place there. On the Mingfeng Mountain stands the exquisite and cast of 250 tons of soild bronze. It is the largest bornze hall in china.

Western Mountains Forest Reserve
The forest reserve on the west bank of the Dianchi lake consists of the Huating, Taihan mountains, which extend for more than 40 kilometres at an altitude of 2,500 metres above sea level. This is a colossal forest resreve,its lofty chain of mountains crisscrossed by gurgling brooks and streams. Ancient trees heap up rich piles of foliage, and birds warble and flutter in the midst of fragrant flowers. Viewed from the southeast corner of Kunming, the entire forest reserve looks like a beautiful maiden reclining leisurely by the Dianchi Lake, her long hair quivering in the limpid water. Hence the nickname of the Western mountains Forest Resever, "sleeping beauty".

Stone Forest
the stone Forest, which is found in the lunan Yi Autonomous County some 100 kilometres form Kunming, is composed of the Greater Stone Forest, the lesser Stone Forest, the Outer stone Forest, and the stone Forest lake. Looking in the distance like a vast expanse of forests, it is actually a world of stone peaks, stalacto-stalagmites, stalagmites, stalactites, subterranean rivers and underground limestone caves. For this topographical turmoil the piace is dubbed "Number One Wonder in the world". The Stone Forest is home to the Sani people, a branch of the industrious and brave Yi minority. As born singers and dancers, the Sani people are also skilled in embroidery. On the 24th of the sixth lunar month, the Stone Forest attracts large crowds of visitors from at home and abroad who come to join the Sani people in celebrating the Torch Festival.

jiuxiang Scenic Area
Sixty-six limestone caves with potential developmental value, believed to be one of the largest limestone cave groups on the Yunnan-Giizhou Plateau,have been found in the Jiuxiang Scenic area is an excellent place for boating; it is also known as "Lovers' Gorge", perhaps because it is a favorite rendezvous for those in love.
