Located in Chun'an County on the upper reaches of the Xin'an River, the Thousand Lake Forest Park is the largest national forest park in China as well as a famous scenic spot with a vast expanse of clean water and green islands scattered on the lake.

It embraces many fascinating scenic spots, such as the Sea of Trees on Mount Laoshan, the Purple Bamboo Garden, the wild azalea garden on Mount Xianshan, orchards, the sweetscented osrnanthus forest on Gulllna island, and islands inhabited by monkeys, deer, snakes, birds and ostriches. Fishing, bathing and water sports are additional attractions.
