Pavilion of Mist and Rain![]() This replica of a building with the same name in Jiaxing is found on the Qinglian Isle. The centerpiece is a two-floored pavilion with five spans, which is set off with a number of kiosks and chambers to form a picturesquely laid-out group of structures. Roll across a world of gullies and ravines cocoon under a forest of pine trees. Tranquil is the word for this place, where there used to be forty or so architectural structures. Some of these buildings have been restored, with such exotic names as Southern Mountain of Accumulated Snow, Mountain with Clouds in All Directions, and Sunset at Hammer-Like Peak. |
