Pavilion for Quiet Meditation

The Pavilion for Quiet Meditation on the eastern shore of the Beihai lake sits adjacent to the park's eastern wall and is tucked away behind a wooded earth mound. In the center of the pavilion is a pond, and south of it stands a waterside wall-less chamber that is linked to the northern shore by a zigzag bridge. The shore of the pond is graced with piled rocks in exotic shapes.

The hill ridges around the pavilion are grown with trees to form a most tranquil environment. It is, indeed, a garden within a garden without a wall.
