Located along the eastern bank of the Zhujiang (Pearl) River and facing Hong Kong on the other side of the Shenzhen River, Shenzhen was famous in the early 1980s for an economic zone, the first of its kind in China.
Most of the tourist attractions are located on the eastern and western
outskirts of Shenzhen. The scenic spots, such as the Shenzhen Bay, Xiangmi
Lake, Xili Lake, Shiyan Lake, and Red Forests, make Shenzhen a final
destination for holiday makers. |
