Located in Nanhai City and covering an area of 14 square kilometers, Mt. Xiqiao was a dead volcano erupted some 8,000 years ago, with 232 springs and 28 waterfalls. Most of its peaks are 300 meters above sea level, and its main peak stands 344 meters in elevation. Among the many odd-shaped rocks the Baiyun, the Shiyan, the Qingshu, and the Turning are the most enchanting. There are also a great number of cliff carvings, ancient temples, and valuable relics. |
