The Old Town of Lijiang: Dayan Town![]() Dayan Town is located in the county seat of Lijiang. Built in the late Song and early Yuan dynasty, it has a history of 800 years. The ancient city is well preserved, and in 1997 it was included in the list of UNESCO's World Heritage sites. Sifang Street is at the center of the town, with roads radiating in all directions. The roads in the town are paved with colorful stone plates, and brook water is led to people's residences. All the houses are of wood-and-earth structures with tiled roofs, and in courtyards flowers and trees are grown, looking elegant and tranquil. In the evening, concert of Dongba Dongj ing Music is held in the ancient town. |
