Located in the town of Jiezhou, 20 kilometers west of Yuncheng. Guandi
Temple has been listed as a site under state protection. Occupying 18,500
square meters, the temple is composed of two sections. A large number
of stone engravings, wooden carvings, mural paintings, calligraphy and
inscribed boards still remain in the temple. The temple's unique style
in architecture is marked by the suspended corridor which was built in
the Spring and Autumn Period (770- 476B.C). |
