Second only to the Leshan Grand Buddha, the stone image of Sakyamuni of Rongxian County towers 36.67 meters from base to peak. The head alone is 8.76 meters tall, and the figure is 12.67 meters wide at the shoulder. Each foot is a massive 3.5 meters wide. The statue and surrounding grottoes are located in the suburbs of the Rongxian County seat, some 48 kilometers from Zigong.
