Korla

Located on the northern route of the ancient Silk Road, Korla is 471 km north to Urumqi and is the communications hub of southern Xinjiang to link Urumqi and the inland of china.

From Korla tourists can reach the southern Silk Route by air or by bus thorugh the Taklimakan Desert, second largest in the world. Major scenic spots include the Bayanbulak Grassland,d Tiemen Pass, Bosten Lake, ancient city of Loulan, Huangmiao Temple of Balguntay and the wonderful landforms of Yadan.
