Itineraries Recommended

1. Starting from Yecheng in Xiniiang, you can arrive in Gar (Shiquenhe) in Ngari via Tianchakou and Domar.

2. You can go northward from Lhasa, then westward from Amdo and northward again from Yuezhu. You arrive in Double Lake and finally in Gar. This way is hard and you have to camp along the way. Except explorers or scientific inspectors, no people take this way.

3. Starting from Lhasa, you can arrive in Xigaze and go westward, turn right at Lhaga and go northward and finally pass by Cole and Gerze. This way is more than 5,000 meters above sea level. The scene along the way is unitary. But you can see flocks of Tibetan gazelles, Tibet wild ass and other wildlife.

4. Starting from Lhasa, you can arrive in Gar through Xigaze, Zhongba and Burang. Along the way, the scenery is colorful. It is the best choice for the painters and photographers. But the way is dangerous, especially the section after Ngari, with less lodging centers and gas stations.
