Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival

Time: November
Venue: Nanning City, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
What's On: Guangxi, known as the "sea of songs," is the hometown of Third Sister Liu, a famous folk song singer. The Zhuang people, who love to sing folk songs, usually make friends and

express love through singing songs. In 1993, Nanning first organized the Guangxi International Folk Song Festival, which was renamed as the Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival in 1998. During the festival, Chinese and foreign folk singers perform classical folk songs, thus fully displaying the charm of modern folk songs. In addition, the Guangxi Folk Song Competition, Chinese Folk Song Invitational Tournament and other activities will be organized to show typical folk songs and decide the best singer.

Hainan Wuzhi Mountain Culture and Art Festival

Time: From the end of November to mid December
Venue: Tongshi City, Hainan Province.
Sponsor: Hainan Provincial People's Government.
Organizers: Recreational and Sports Bureau of Hainan Province, Hainan Tourism Bureau and

Tongshi City People's Government. Participants: Eight cities and autonomous counties of ethnic groups in Hainan Province.
What's On: The opening ceremony, large-scale joint performance, exhibition of paintings and calligraphy of minorities, Wuzhi Mountain Delicacy Festival, Wuzhi Mountain Ecological Culture Festival and closing ceremony.

China Dragon and Tiger Hill Taoist Culture Tourism Festival

Time: November 19 to 21
Venue: Dragon and Tiger Hill, Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province.
Sponsors: Yingtan City People's Government, Jiangxi Tourism Bureau, Jiangxi Bureau of Religious Affairs and Jiangxi Taoist Association.

What's On: The opening ceremony, Taoist service, performance of Taoist music, folk song collection in Dragon and Tiger Hill, wedding ceremony show, folk operas, performance of drums and gongs, display of placing coffins on cliffs, tourism exchanges, economic and trade talks, etc.

Sanya Tianyahaijiao International Wedding Festival

Time: November 18
Venue: Sanya City, Hainan Province.
Sponsor: Sanya City People's Government.
What's On: Domestic and foreign newlyweds as well as the couples who have married for several years may sign up for the international wedding festival. Every year this festival attracts several

hundred of couples from all over the world. Except for the wedding ceremony, the participants may also take part in some interesting and significant tourism activities.
