Deiails of events and ways of maling application for the Beijing international marathon 2003

  • Date & Venue: Sunday, October 19, 2003. Beijing
  • Start: 08:31 a.m. at Tian'anmen Square
  • Roll Call Time: 07:00 - 08:15 a.m.
  • Time Limit for All Events: 5 hours for full marathon, 4h10' for 35km marathon, 3h30' for 30km marathon, 2h30' for half marathon, 1 hour for 10km marathon and 25 minutes for 5km marathon. Runners failing to reach the time limit will be asked to get on a pick-up vehicle.
  • Age Limit: half/full marathon: age 18 and above; 10km marathon: age 15 and above; 5km: age 13 and above.
  • Health: It is the runner's responsibility to be physically fit for the race.
  • First Aid: provided at the start area, the finish area and along the course.
  • Refreshments: water and tea available along the course and at the finish area.
  • Climate: Fine autumn day, the average temperature is around 11-18 degree centigrade.
  • Awards: For full marathon, 1st-10th place winners (male and female), trophy, prize and medal; finishers within the time limit, certificate, medal and bath towel. For half, 10km and 5km marathon, 1st-10th place winners (male and female), trophy, medal, and sports shirt; finishers with the time limit, result-record manual.
  • Registration
    • Registration fee is US$90 (for all events) per person and is non-refundable.
    • Registration is acceptable only with the completed entry form signed by the entrant, together with payment.
    • Register for the race in one of the following ways:
    • Deadline of entry: September 30, 2003
    • All runners registered through ChinaPlanner.com are requested to collected their necessary objects from October 16th to 18th at designated location in Beijing.
  • ChinaPlanner.com provides travel services:
    1. 4 star hotels at $90 per room per night;
    2. Beijing 2-day city tour with meals: $160 per person.
    3. More promotional items and packages.
