  • Day 1  Tue   Arrive in Beijing
    Welcome to Beijing. Our guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the  Beijing Rosedale Hotel (4 star)

  • Day 2  Wed   Beijing / Urumqi by air (B, L, D)
    We take the morning flight for Urumqi. This unique air route geographically covers the 2 world biggest deserts, many high and dry or snow capped mountains, valleys and canyon. Afternoon we drive 70 km southwest to one of the eighth major deep valleys and passage ways along the whole Mountain called Nanshan Grassland, where we visit the minority families of Kazakstanian, Uzbekistanian, Kyrgyzatanian and chat with them in their yurts while drink strong Milk Tea & home-made snacks. Stay at Urumqi Hoi Tak Hotel (5 star, central located at the Square).

  • Day 3  Thu   Urumqi (B, L, D)
    We drive 120 km northeast to Heavenly Lake, with an elevation of 2,600 meters. The beautiful lake is flanked by rugged pines and cypresses, with melted clear waters reflecting the surrounding of snow capped Heavenly Mountain-Peak of Boghanar at an elevation of 5,446 meters. The peak is always regarded as the holy mountain by all Turks in the Mid-Asia. We will cruise on the lake and take a golf cart circle around the lake. Then we return to the city and visit the Provincial Museum to view the incredible mummies from over 2,000 years ago, which really tells us mystery history unfound in the books. Time permitting, we visit the Redhill Park and visit Bazaar, which is believed to be the largest out-door market in the region.

  • Day 4  Fri   Urumqi / Turpan by bus (B, L, D)
    Today we drive for 2 hours and a half southeast from Urumqi to Turpan in the morning. On the way we will see a village located at the valley of Heavenly Mountain, which was a very prosperous caravan city called "Daban Cheng", because from there the caravan has to cross the Heavenly Mountain and the whole Gebi Desert without any villages & towns in couple of months. We will also see a field with thousands of fan tower standing in the valley, newly built for producing power. Turpan is an Uighur town set in a large oasis surrounded by desert and dry mountains. Upon arrival, we visit the mysterious Death City---Jiaohe Ruins, which reveals traces of a prosperous ancient trading center and military stronghold 1,600 years ago, and it used to be the most frontal barrier in the west for centuries. And then we visit the Ancient Karez Underground water supply & irrigation system and its museum. Turpan is famous throughout China for its big and sweet grapes and gourds, and we will visit the grape valley and enjoy fruits there. Stay at the Oasis Hotel, VIP Building (3-4 star, best available).

  • Day 5  Sat   Turpan / Urmqi by bus, Urumqi / Kashigar by air (B, L, D)
    Morning visit Suleiman’s Minaret, The Flaming Mountain & Bezelik Thousand Buddha Grottoes. We will drive back to Urumqi in the afternoon and take evening flight to Kashigar. Stay at Qiniwake Hotel (3-star, the best available).

  • Day 6  Sun   Kashigar / Urumqi by air (B, L, D)
    We visit Sunday Morning Moslems Pray. It is incredible scene that thousands of Moslems kneel down on the streets and the squares facing to the temple. Then we visit the Sunday Bazaar, which is the largest out-door market in the Mid-Asia. We visit temple & the tombs of the Fragrant Concubine, in the afternoon. After that we go back to Urumqi by an evening flight after dinner. Stay at Urumqi Hoi Tak Hotel (5 star).

  • Day 7  Mon   Urumqi / Dunhuang by air (B, L, D)
    After breakfast at the hotel, we take a morning flight to Dunhuang. In the afternoon visit the world wonder – Mogao Grottos. The grottoes honeycomb a 1,600 meters long cliff overlooking a river valley, located 25 km southwest from Dunhuang. It is the world's most important sites of ancient Buddhist Culture. The grottoes, also known as Caves of the Thousands Buddha, preserve nearly one thousand years of Buddhist cave-temple architecture, clay sculpture, mural paintings, and manuscripts, dating from the 5th to 14th centuries. Over 426 caves are very enormously in size and contain numberless clay sculptures and more than 45,000 square meters of mural paintings, all are national treasures the jews of the world. Stay at the Dunhuang Hotel VIP Building (4-star).

  • Day 8  Tue    Dunhuang (B, L, D)
    Today we drive 2 hours west forward across the desert to Yumen Guan (Jade Gate Pass), which was the west terminal of Great Wall built in Han Dynasty 2,100 years ago. In the afternoon, we return back to the city and visit Crescent Moon Lake & Sounding Dune with a camel ride to see the sunset.

  • Day 9  Wed    Dunhuang / Xi'an by air (B, L, D)
    Morning fight for Xi'an. Arrive in Xi'an and transfer to your hotel - Garden Hotel (4 star). City tour: Big Wild Goose Pagoda & City Wall with lunch & dinner.

  • Day10  Thu   Xian (B, L, D)
    Full day excursion to the Terra-cotta Army Museum. Dumpling Dinner & Tang Dynasty Show.

  • Day11  Fri    Xian/Shanghai  (B, L)
    Flight to Shanghai. Transfer to your hotel (4 star). Afternoon free. Stay at Ocean Hotel (4 star).

  • Day12  Sat   Shanghai  (B, L, D)
    City tour: the Bund, Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Carpet Factory. Acrobatic Show in the evening. 

  • Day13.  Sun   Zhujiajioa Excursion    (B, L, D)
    Morning excursion to Zhujiajiao, a river-town weaved by rivers, with stone bridges and old streets, traditional residence and shops for hundreds of years. Afternoon back to Shanghai to visit the Shanghai Museum.

  • Day14   Mon   Shanghai / Exit (B)
    We will transport you to the airport with your luggage for for homeward flight.

    Chinese Consulates no longer accept mail in application. The single entry China tourist visa application fee is $75 per person. To apply for it, please fill out the China visa form, submit with your original valid passport and 1 recent picture. Using FedEx to mail your visa application is strongly suggested. We will mail you back your passport/China visa via FedEx. Regular process takes 7- 10 working days. Express service is available upon request and additional fee.
