Guizhou is a multi-ethnic province. Apart frome the Han, there are 16 minority
ethnic groups, including the Miao, Buyi, Dong, Yi, Shui, Hui, Gelao, Zhuang, Yao,
Manchu, Bai, Mongolian, Qiang and Tujia. The 1990 census shows the province's total
population was 32.391 million, of which 11.236 million, or 34.7 percent are ethnic
minorities. The most populous minority ethnic group was the Miao, totaling 3.6869
million. It is followed by the Buyi(2.4781 million), the Dong (1.4 003 million), and
the Tujia(1.0282 million). Moreover, the Buyis, Shuis and Glaos in Guizhou accounted
for over 95 percent of their population in the country.
- A. Tour Itinerary:
- Day 1 Arrive Guiyang -
Arrive in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province. Stay at Guizhou Park or Plaza
Hotel.
- Day 2 Guiyang/Kaili -
Take a car to Kaili(200km). On the way. ride bicycle (about 30km)to enjoy the view
of the terraced paddy fields. Stay at Kaili Hotel.
- Day 3 Kaili/ Excursion to Langde Miao Village by bicycle -
Ride bicycle to Langde Miao village(35km). On the way, view the typical architecture
of Miao people----'Stilt Wooden House'. After arrival in Langde village, see the
colorfully decorated Miao Women, appreciate their embroideries, exquisitely designed
costumes and silver ornaments, visit the families. Stay at Kaili Hotel.
- Day 4 Kaili/ Excursion to QinMan Miao Village by bicycle -
Ride bicycle to visit QinMan Miao village(30km), another branch of Miao people. the
costumes, hairstyles and silver ornaments differ from the Miao people in language.
After arrival in QinMan, experience their traditional welcoming
ceremony----'way-block wine' before entering the village. Enjoy the performance of
dancing and singing. then visit their families. Stay at Kaili Hotel.
- Day 5 Kaili/Guiyang -
Take car back to Guiyang(200km). In the afternoon, ride bicycle to visit the Guiyang
city. Stay at Guizhou Park or Plaza Hotel.
- Day 6 Guiyang/Anshun/Excursion to Cai Guantun/Huangguoshu -
Take a car to Anshun(100km) , then start bicycle tour to visit Cai Guantun(15km),
enjoy the performance of 'Groud Opera'(named as the living fossil of China Opera's
history and can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty). Ride for another 25
Kilometres, to HuangGuoShu, On the way , view the typical architecture of Buyi
people ----stone village. Stay at HuangGuoShu Hotel.
- Day 7 Huangguoshu/Guiyang -
In the morning, ride bicycle to visit Tian Xin Scenic Spot-named as the 'Natural
Bonsai' and noted for its stone forest on the water. In the afternoon, visit the
largest cataract in Asia----HuangGuoShu Waterfall. Then take car back to Guiyang.
Stay at Guizhou Park or Plaza Hotel.
- Day 8 Depart Guiyang -
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

H. China visa:
Chinese Consulate no longer accepts mail in application. The single entry China tourist Visa fee is $75 per
person. To apply for it please fill out the China Visa form, submit with your original valid passport and 1
recent picture. Using FedEx to mail your visa application is strongly suggested. We will mail you back the
China visa and your passport via FedEx. Regular process takes 7- 10 working days. Express service is
available upon request and additional fee.
